WELCOME TO KOOBVILLE

In the Valley of Imagination…. you will find Koobville, a land of book monsters, bonded by their love of reading. Follow them on all sorts of adventures around town, in school, and of course, at the library! 

Koobville is a vibrant children’s book series, featuring 18 fun characters. Each “Koob” has their own unique personality, celebrating all different types of interests and genres. The Koobs are proud of what they love and exude it in their energies, shapes, and colors.

KOOBVILLE MISSION

Koobville is written with purpose to inspire a positive relationship with literacy on a subconscious level. I achieve this by placing books strategically throughout the illustrations, making them a natural part of the Koobville every-day world. Children are so captivated by the characters, and their imagination at work, that they don’t realize the connection to reading planted deep in their hearts. 

My mission is for Koobville to inspire a positive association with literacy that transcends reading ability, because it isn’t about how well you read, but how well you stay curiously on the path of pursuit.

There is truly a Koob for every child to relate in some way, and even adults rekindling their inner child. 

KOOBVILLE AUTHOR VISITS

Koobville is based in Toledo, Ohio and visits schools all over to spread the Koobville Spark, “You are never alone with a little reading and imagination”. School visits are so important and impactful, keeping kids excited about reading.

Koobville loves doing creative pop-up readings in cool places in the Toledo community, brining kids together to read and meet the Koobs. Koobville has a culture of friendship and creativity all circled around reading.
